From 5 generations produce Barolo, in the heart of Cannubi, in Family.

Every day we grow our grapes with love, protecting our ancient craft, the one of wine-making, based on deep roots, handed down from father to son.

Since 1897 our winery has been located on the top of Cannubi and all surrounded by our vineyards. Our roots date back even further when, in the mid-nineteenth century, the Cavalier Francesco Borgogno began producing his own wine, selling it in the small tavern of his wife in Barolo. At the time of his death, he left the family house and cellar to Lodovico Borgogno. At that time these were located in the historical centre of Barolo. In that house, Lodovico passed on to his sons Serio and Battista the art of wine-making and the deep love for his land.
At his death Serio and Battista Borgogno inherited some land and a small farmhouse in Cannubi.
With immense effort and hard work they managed to turn a dream into reality: building their house and their winery on top of Cannubi, buying more vineyards all around for a total of 3 ha, in the heart of Cannubi.

Now, as ever, our winery wants to keep an absolutely familiar character.

The strong bond with the tradition shapes the character of the company, which has always jealously guarded its identity.

Even today Serio Borgogno lives for his vineyards which he loves more than everything and transmits all his knowledge to  his future generations.
The winery is now run by his daughters Anna and Paola Borgognowho strive to follow every part of the company. Promotion, administration, sales, logistics and hospitality are entirely managed by them, with the invaluable help of Federica Boffa, part of the fifth generation of the family.
Marco Bolla and his daughter Emanuela Bolla, passionately work in their vineyards and in their cellar, personally leading every step of the wine making process: from pruning to harvest, from pressing to bottling.

In the vineyard We cultivate our vineyards, as if they were our garden: our work follows the natural growth cycle of the vine adapting to the different climatic needs of the vintage.

the continuous research for quality and for a wine that encloses our being, the authenticity and the light that our land emanates every day.

In the cellar

Fermentation in wooden vats  with long maceration and we only use large barrels in Slavonian oak 25-50 hl for long aging, as evidenced by tradition.

Only one objective: a wine that encloses our being, the authenticity and the light that every day our land releases.

The Family owns 3 Ha in the heart of Cannubi, round to his cellar and has 1 ha of Dolcetto, in Area Liste, always in Barolo.

The company completes its range of wines with a meticulous research and selection of grapes, based on exclusive and historical relationship with growers, from which annually buys small quantity of grapes, which are personally vinified by the Borgogno Family in the cellar, getting Classic Barolo, Barbaresco, Nebbiolo d'Alba, Barbera d'Alba, Dolcetto d'Alba and Gavi.
All work from pruning to thinning and selection of grapes before harvest are personally followed by Marco Bolla, with the help of her daughter Emanuela and oenologist Luca Sarotto. The treatments in the vineyard are agreed between the parties following the same philosophy of vineyards.
